Directions......
From Youghal.......take the left onto the R633 for Ballymacoda. After 3.25 miles, you cross over a small river and at 3.75 miles, you see the turn off right for the GAA grounds.
From Cork City / Midleton.....Take the turn off in Castlemartyr and head south towards Ladysbridge. From there, take the left and the R633 for Ballymacoda. At 3.3 miles, you drive through a small crossroads and at 3.5 miles at the next crossroads, take the left for the GAA grounds.

Description...The start line is just a few hundred metres from the GAA pitch...
The photo above of the start shows what the roads are like...narrow and quiet. The photo below shows the first left at 1.5 miles...
...and the second left at 2.8 miles...
The third left at 3.6 miles....
This is the last few hundred metres of the finishing straight...
...and the finish line at the GAA grounds.
Overall........This part of East Cork is pretty flat and the 4 mile course reflects that. Looking at the Ordnance Survey map of the area, the course undulates above and below the 10 metre contour over the whole four miles so there are no serious climbs. The course is made up of mostly long straight sections and the roads are pretty narrow. As race courses go, this one looks pretty fast.
