Location...The village of Glenville is located about 11 miles or 17 kms from Cork City.
Directions....The most direct route from Cork City itself is via Ballyvolane and Whites Cross. However depending on where you are coming from, it may not be the fastest.
The best route is probably to take the M8 motorway from the Jack Lynch tunnel up as far as Watergrasshill and then turn off.
In Watergrasshill, take the left at the church and head west. From there, just follow the signposts. At the next T-junction, turn right...then take the next left...and then the next right.
It's about 5 miles / 8kms from Watergrasshill to Glenville.
Course......The 4 mile course takes in a loop to the south-east of the Glenville.
Profile......There are some hills but plenty of long downhill sections as well to make up for it.
Overall........A 4 mile race which is easily accessible from Cork City. Mostly quiet rural roads.
