Location....Clonakilty is located some 40 kms to the south-west of Cork City...

Course description....The race starts near the car park for the Waterfront building. This is just a few hundred metres from the race HQ at the Model Railway Village...
At about 400m, you pass the finish line at the Model Railway Village...
...and then head south alongside the bay...
This is the view at 1.1 miles as you stay by the waters edge...
At 1.7 miles, you cross another causeway...
You'll hit the 2 mile mark at the far end of the causeway and from there, you head back inland towards Clonakilty.
At 2.7 miles, you come to a crossroads where you turn right into a hill that lasts for about 400m.
This is the only hill on the course to negotiate and after that, it's very fast for the last mile with the finish at the Clonakilty Showgrounds.
Overall...A reasonable 4 mile route. Nice scenic course. One hill in the second half with a very fast finish.
