Profile....

Course description.......The race starts on an uphill section section of road although the gradient isn't too steep...

At about 500m, the road flattens out with a nice view out over the Tipperary countryside...

Around the corner, the road turns into a long downhill section starting about 0.4 miles...

At 0.75 miles, you come to the end of the downhill section as you turn off right...

This section of road has one gentle rise but nothing serious. After the mile mark, you pass the sign showing the crossroads ahead...

At the crossroads at 1.2 miles, you turn right...

From the crossroads, you continue running downhill...

This soon levels off and then begins a gentle climb. The photo below shows a typical section of the course...nice quiet country road.

The finish line is near the 50kph signs before the junction ahead...

Overall........A unique 2 mile course on quiet country roads.

Organised by Ballynonty AC, it is one of the few two mile races on the calendar.
